The Corsair saw service in World War II and the Korean War as a superb fighter able to reach speeds of 400 mph. Flown by the Black Sheep Squadron VMF-214 led by Marine Fighter Ace Major Gregory "Gramps" Boyington.
This kit is a 1:17.6 scale flying model. Pre-1942 design, eligible for Society of Antique Modelers (SAM) contests.
This free flight rubber powered kit contains a full-size rolled plan, hand-picked printed balsa and balsa strip wood, rubber motor, EB propeller, EBM thrust bearing, vacuum-molded canopy, wheels, TissueCal™ markings, and Easy Built Lite tissue in dark navy blue. To build this model you will need a building board, hobby knife, fine sandpaper, and glue.

"Got an inflight shot of my Corsair. It took the "k" in the contest at Pinkham Field today. Best flight was 108 seconds in the third round- but that wouldn't have been good enough to beat the up and coming kid- William Skelly who did 10 seconds more with a nice flying Jug. Note- both of these airplanes are flying on 15% motors. The last round though (yes, we flew 4 rounds) we launched in downer air, and I trounced William with a flight of 69 seconds.
