Arthur C. Chester introduced his home-built racer at the 1933 National
Air Races at Los Angeles, CA. His best speed at the race was 154.365
MPH. By making changes to the prop, spinner, and streamlining the
cockpit Chester continued to increase his speed ultimately achieving
over 230 MPH.
This Art Chester Racer kit is a 1/16 scale, rubber powered flying model that uses the
Box and Former method of simplified construction.
Pre-1942 design, eligible for FAC Dime
Scale and Society of Antique Modelers (SAM) contests.
This free flight rubber powered kit contains a full-size
rolled plan, building and flying instructions, hand sorted printed balsa
and balsa stripwood, rubber motor, E-B propeller, EBM thrust bearing,
clear plastic for the windshield, wheels, landing gear wire, and Easy
Built Lite tissue in a variety of appropriate colors. You will need a building
board, hobby knife, fine sandpaper,
